EduKan is an online Community Colleges Consortium consisting of Barton County, Colby, Dodge City, Garden City, Pratt, and Seward County. These colleges have gone together to provide a wider variety of online classes than the smaller institution would normally be able to offer. If a student enrolls in a course through EduKan, they are able to choose which of these colleges to use for the credit and transcript, even though the course may be taught by an instructor at a different college. Current tuition for an online course from EduKan is $147 per credit hour. Payment is made to the Community College that the student has chosen to receive the credit through. Classes that are eligible for Senate Bill #155 through BCC will still be covered by the Senate Bill if taken through EduKan. All students are responsible for any books or additional fees required for their classes. (Some classes, such as College Algebra, require a software access fee. Some EduKan classes require a $115 resource fee to cover online services such as this.) I am happy to visit with students and/or parents to determine the cost for any class.
